Publishing professionals support trans, non-binary communities

The December 2020 issue of Quill and Quire reports that 2300 writers, editors, journalists, agents, and publishing professionals in North America have signed an open letter in support of trans and non-binary people. It states in part, “non-binary people are non-binary, trans women are women, trans men are men, trans rights are human rights. Your pronouns matter. You matter. You are loved.”

The letter is a companion to one signed in September by more than 200 writers, publishers and journalists in the U.K. that was described as a “a message of love and solidarity for the trans and non-binary community”.
